Charge

As provided by KSA 46-2201, the Joint Committee will monitor, review, and make recommendations regarding the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System (KPERS). In addition, the Joint Committee is authorized to:

  • Review the status of law enacted during the 2021-22 biennium (2021 HB 2405, pension obligation bonds, and 2022 SB 421);
  • Review the State General Fund revenue transfer of $1.125 billion to the KPERS Trust Fund; and
  • Review of other pensions legislation considered by the 2022 Legislature.
